Visitor Center: XyberScout

Collectione 2008 offers a free service for its visitors:
All important information for your Collectione visit is available for your personal mobile, Blackberry, PDA (PalmOS, Windows Pocket PC) with XyberScout.

WithXyberScout you are able to access information about the Collectione with the following features:

Search for exhibitors
Search for product groups
Exhibitors are shown on zoomable maps
Event search (by list, date or topic)
General Information
Set up of a personal, sortable tour

XyberScout offers the following additional features for users of a PocketPC with PocketPC/WindowsMobile 3.0:

full-text search for exhibitors
special view for current events (today)
selectable as favourites are exhibitors, product groups, events, topics and speaker, export function
notes can be created and exported for all items
multilingualism is supported
scalable layout

How do I get the information?

New: XyberScout for mobile phone and Blackberry

Offline-use: XyberScout can be downloaded on every Java compatible mobile phone and Blackberry via www.xyberscout.de/collectione/handy-en/

Please use this link directly from your mobile phone or Blackberry.

Online-use: The mobile online version will be available from all web compatible platforms, including mobile phones and Blackberrys, via www.xyberscout.de/collectione/online-en/

For PalmOS users:
System requirements: minimum PalmOS 3.1, free memory min. 2,2MB, recommended PalmOS 3.5.3 or higher. Download the file en_collectione08_install to your desktop PC. Unzip the file into an arbitrary directory and add it to your HotSync installation list by double-clicking the file. (Consult your PalmOS handbook for details on the general installation procedure.)

The application will be installed on your Palm on the next HotSync. The application „XyberScout" will be added to your application list on the Palm, easily to recognize by the Collectione logo. On the first start some databases will be decompressed – please be patient a few seconds.
You can uninstall the application with the PalmOS specific „Delete“ function.

For Pocket PC users:
The application requires the Windows Pocket PC system (WinCE 3.0/PocketPC 2002/WindowsMobile 2003) and at least 10 MB of free memory.
Download the file en_collectione08.arm.cab (for PocketPC /WindowsMobile 3.0: collectione08_ppc03.cab) (Microsoft-CAB-Installer-format) and use your standard synchronization software (e.g. Microsoft ActiveSync) to transfer the file to your PocketPC. (Consult your Handbook for details on the general installation procedure.) Execute the file on your PocketPC with the file explorer to start the installation.

Alternatively download the file en_collectione08.exe (for PocketPC/WindoesMobile3.0: collectione08_ppc03.exe) (Microsoft-Self-Extractor) to your desktop-pc. Double-tap this file for execution of the installation process that installs the program on your PocketPC-device.
During the installation, a number of files will be unpacked, which can take several minutes. A link to a html page will be added to your start menu. This will be the entry point of the application.

You can uninstall the application with Settings -> System -> Remove program.
